Red Bull waiting for Canadian engine updates

Red Bull waiting for Canadian engine updates – Christian Horner has said Red Bull won’t be rushed into next years engine supplier decision saying he wants to see what Honda and Renault bring to the Canadian Grand Prix in June.

Both suppliers are expected to bring their biggest upgrades for the season at the race.

Christian Horner told RaceFans.

“Hopefully around Montreal time, there’s a next engine introduction”

“We’re hoping from a performance increase.

“Potentially both engine suppliers are bringing an upgrade around Montreal so we wait and see with interest.”

Cyril Abiteboul, boss of Renault, said while his team won’t give Red Bull a definitive deadline they do need a decision sooner rather than later.

“We are not going to put a deadline, because it’s not our style.

“But there is some urgency due to changes in the regulations. So if Red Bull wants our engines, they should let us know.”
